First trip to Disney
We took Michael to Disney for the first time ... Magic Kingdom.
Michael rode on a lot of the rides. He went on:
I was really impressed ... we got there around 10 AM, and went all the way until 8:30 PM, and he held up just fine. It even rained on us mid-afternoon and Michael was just fine. Tough kid!
He took 2 naps, and for the most part seemed to enjoy his trip. He seemed impressed with all the people and sights and sounds. One thing that made the trip challenging was his striving for independence. Michael wanted us to let him "walk" like he does at home, which is basically cruising from furniture to furniture mixed with crawling.
We really couldn't let him crawl around the ground in Magic Kingdom (too dirty, too many people), so someone was carrying him at all times. This just didn't sit well with his independent spirit. A couple of times when we were in line for a ride, I would put an arm around his waist and let him stand on the ground, holding on to a rail or some other stable object.
He really seemed to like the Magic Carpets of Aladdin ride ... he fussed and cried when the ride stopped. I figured he wasn't done enjoying the ride ... sometimes when we take him to the park, if we try to get him off the swing and he's not done, he has the same reaction.
Overall, I'm just amazed at how many rides we were able to do with Michael still being a so young.
