Power of marketing

Michael got ahold of a Bed Bath & Beyond catalog they sent to our house.  He looked through it and decided that he really, really wanted the inflatable giraffe pool in the catalog.

I figured it's $30 and he wasn't being demanding or unreasonable (just persistent), so we agreed to buy it.

In the photo, the kids look really happy and the water is a beautiful blue.

Figured I'd see how much the giraffe pool was online, so I found it on American Express's shopping site.  The exact same pool as the one in the Bed Bath catalog (same manufacturer and model).
We have some Membership Rewards points I wanted to use, so me and Mommy showed him the photo of the pool on AmEx's site.

Michael took one look at it and yelled "I DON'T WANT THE ONE WITH THE GREEN WATER!!!"

I looked at it and laughed.  The photo on their site has the pool filled with green water.  Mommy immediately tried to explain that that was just a sample picture and it was the same as the Bed Bath pool, but he was adamant.

Wife mentioned something about going to Bed Bath, and when I came home from work today there was an inflatable giraffe pool in the backyard.
