Football
Michael and I have been throwing a foam football in the evenings (thank you VMware Sales Team for sending me a free foam football to my office, but sorry I'm still not buying any virtualization products).
It's the perfect size for his little paws. He actually throws rather well. Based on us playing in the evening, I've determined that there are some positions he might be able to someday play, and others that aren't shaping up to be such a good fit.
Quarterback: Seems like a good fit. He throws well. He can throw the ball pretty well to my hands, and he can throw while he's running. He also has "intentional grounding" down to a "T". Occasionally, he will run out of the living room, and throw the football straight down at the hallway floor and run off laughing.
Wide Receiver: Not shaping up to be a good fit. I say, "Michael, catch!" He puts his hands in front of his chest and makes claws of his fingers. So I toss him the ball (light underhand pass) and he flails his hands about and it usually ends up bopping him on the head.
Running back: Probably not. He was holding the ball and started running toward me. So I ran toward him and playfully yelled ROARRRR, trying to grab ahold of him. Instead of tucking the ball away he screeched and threw it straight at my face.
Kicker: This one might work. He gets excited when I place-hold the football for him and tell him to kick it. He runs up and kicks it as I'm holding it for him. He has a pretty decent kick.
Hehe, it's fun playing with him now that he's getting to an age where we can actually play.
