Impressive Memory
Michael has an incredible memory, it actually frightens me.
I've been reading him Thomas the Train books at night. I stopped reading for a few moments (to take care of his little sister), and he proceeded to continue the story. From memory. Without missing a beat. Word for word, even the little filler words "is ... the ..." were all in the correct spot.
I was absolutely floored. I can't believe how good his memory is, and that he can recite a book similar to how one memorizes and recites poetry.
He is also very articulate. At this point, he has an impressive vocabulary (in both English and Cantonese). Since he started daycare, he speaks mostly in English at home. It's funny, he started daycare, and it's like a light switch flipped and he speaks primarily in English, even at home.
However, I've noticed that if he wakes up in the middle of the night (half-conscious state), he speaks in Cantonese.
