Renaissance period
I feel like I'm going through a Renaissance period with Michael. :-D He just seems to be so much more aware, enlightened, and well-behaved these days. He's going to daycare (it's basically like preschool with structured learning and curriculum) 2 days a week.
His teacher, Ms. Rachel, said that he is adjusting very well. He's started talking, participating, and plays with his friends.
He seems very happy when we pick him up, quite proud of himself, like he enjoyed his day.
He is very particular about leaving early. We get him by 3:30 PM and all is good. For a while, we were picking him up at 4:30 PM, sometimes close to 5, and he would be panicky by the time Mommy or me arrived.
The school closes at 6:30 PM, but I guess the learning curriculum pretty much wraps up around 5 or 5:30. I guess when the school starts winding down, most of the kids have left, and they start moving the kids who are left into a central area and vacuuming the now-empty classrooms, he didn't like that.
However, I've noticed as long as we're there by 3:30 PM, it's perfect.
Also, this is just after snacktime. I understand they get 2 snacks + lunch a day. I'm sure these are Michael's favorite times, when he first started going to school, and came home all he would talk about was snacktime and lunchtime.
