New York City Trip - Day 7

Monday (7/18) was our last full day in the big city.

We slept in and went to Chinatown for lunch, back to Jing Fong. While we were eating, my wife got a call from her classmate that she had not seen for over 20 years.

Michael and I were both a bit burned out on eating in Chinatown, so my wife took her family and Zoey to have dinner with her friend (and his family), while I took Michael to Rockefeller Center and the Lego Store. He had been asking to go back.

We went from 51st to Rockefeller Center via the M line, walked through the long underground corridors and shops, and came up to the street through the actual Rockefeller Plaza.

We bought another duplo, a small green plane. While we were in the Lego Store, the sky got dark. Before we had a chance to leave, it started *pouring*. We stood by the door and waited (and waited).

We started chatting with one of the employees, and he told us that 2 doors down, at the Coach store, there was an escalator downstairs, which led back to the underground area and subway. This was a huge relief.

We got back to the hotel and actually didn't get very wet. Waited out the rainstorm and got Chipotle takeout again, which made Michael happy. He really liked the chips and guac, and splitting a burrito bowl with me.
