Sleeping
So, Michael's asleep on the snuggly, head resting against my chest as I'm typing.
I spent the last few hours chasing him around the house as he scurried about, trying to make sure he didn't get into anything he shouldn't. We've childproofed the house as best as we can, but I'm learning that the most important thing is being there with an active eye on him at all times.
It's hard to keep up with him now. He's not particularly fast crawler, so much as he's non-stop. He also seems to have a rather short attention span for a particular activity ... if he crawls to the back sliding glass door and uses it to stand up, and I catch up with him, he won't be content to stand there long. He'll find something else to do (like try to crawl to the kitchen or into our bedroom), and so I'll have to follow him.
He also doesn't like being held or carried as much as he used to, now that he is mobile, he wants to move about on his own. I guess he's looking for a bit of freedom and independence.
I'm starting to want a nap myself.
